Sun Damage

Every time you go outdoors without sun protection or use a tanning bed, ultraviolet (UV) light damages your skin. With time, this damage builds up and you see changes to your skin, which can make you look years older than you naturally would.

These changes include:

  • Wrinkles
  • Age spots
  • Loose skin
  • Spider veins
  • Blotchy or ruddy complexion

Dull Skin

Dull skin is skin that doesn’t look bright, youthful or radiant. It is usually caused by dead skin build up, dry skin, stressed skin, and aging skin.

Wrinkles and Fine lines

Fine lines are early or baby wrinkles. They are created when you contract the same muscles in your face repeatedly day after day. Fine lines are not wrinkles yet, but they can be. With continued use of those same muscles for years, those fine lines mature into deep wrinkles.

Multiple factors play a role in causing wrinkles including:

  • Genetics
  • Dry skin
  • Sun exposure
  • Smoking
  • Pollution
  • Lack of sleep
  • Stress

Eye Care

Some of the most common signs of aging around the eyes include crow's feet, dark circles and under-eye bags.

Large Pores and Black Heads

When skin produces too much oil it mixes with dead skin in the pore, forming a clog that causes it to enlarge. If the oil becomes trapped by dead skin, it oxidizes, forming a blackhead.

Acne and Blemishes

Acne is caused when sebum (oil), bacteria, or dirt clogs hair follicles. Acne can sometimes leave dark spots, pockmarks, or scarring on the skin. These are also types of blemishes.

Dark Spots

Dark spots on the skin, or hyperpigmentation, occur when some areas of the skin produce more melanin than usual. Dark spots on the skin are not a cause for concern and do not need treatment, though people may choose to treat them for cosmetic reasons. Depending on the cause, people may call some types of dark spots on the skin age spots or sunspots.

Sagging Skin

Along with wrinkles and fine lines, saggy skin is an age-related concern on many people’s minds. It is caused by the reduced production of Collagen and Elastin in the skin and the decrease in skin hydration and thickness as we age.

Multiple factors play a role in causing skin sagging including:

  • Aging
  • Genetics
  • Sun exposure
  • Smoking
  • Lack of exercise
